    Agents’ dates can differ

These dates are for businesses that lodge their own BAS. Registered tax agents may have different (often later) due dates for clients on their lodgement program.

    Weekends & public holidays

When a due date lands on a weekend or public holiday, you can generally lodge and pay on the next business day. Monthly BAS are due on the 21st of the following month.

    Your own tax return

If you lodge your individual return yourself, it’s due by 31 October. Lodging through a tax agent usually means a later date — ask us early.

    Common questions

Do I need to register for GST?

Generally, yes once your GST turnover reaches $75,000 a year ($150,000 for non-profits). Taxi and ride-sourcing drivers must register whatever their turnover. We’ll walk you through it.

Can you untangle a messy year of books?

Yes. We’ll look at the file first and give you a fixed catch-up quote before any work starts.

Which bookkeeping software do you use?

We work with the common cloud bookkeeping platforms, and with plain spreadsheets if that’s what you’ve got.

What should I bring to a first chat?

Last year’s return if you have it, a rough list of income and costs, and every question you’ve been saving up.
